The Chicago Computer Society (CCS) is pleased to announce hands-on courses.

Classes will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2002 at Prairie State College,
4821 Southwick Drive, Matteson, IL 60443.

Microsoft Word 2000 Basics Learn skills needed to prepare basic letters, memos, and reports. Learn how to format text, insert/delete text, center, tab, underline,justify, bold face, block text, and set margins. Toolbars will be explained and examples presented. Prerequisite: None Time: 9 a.m. - Noon Instructor: John Martin		Microsoft Windows 98 Learn to move around Windows 98. This course is for beginners and intermediate students. It introduces the Windows environment, Windows Explorer, shortcuts, recycle Bin, and finding files. Prerequisite: None Time: 9 a.m. - Noon Instructor: Al Cheeks

Microsoft Excel 2000 Basics Learn to enter data, create formulas, use math functions, format data, control the appearance of the spreadsheet. Prerequisite: None Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m Instructor: John Martin		Microsoft Access 2000 Basics Learn to create a database from scratch, modify and edit a database. Prerequisite: None Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Instructor: Greg Pickett

Classes are taught by CCS members who are experts in their respective fields. Because instructors virtually donate their time, seminars are offered at very reasonable fees for CCS members. CCS classes are accredited by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit. You will earn one CPE credit for each full seminar hour. CCS is dedicated to expanding knowledge, understanding, and using computers by individuals and professionals. Education is one of the many benefits of CCS and we hope you will take advantage of these excellent offerings. Be sure to register early to ensure a spot in the class of your choice. Up to date class information will be available both on the CCS web site or by calling 708-588-0385. If you have any questions regarding any of these classes, please call 708-588-0385 and leave a message and someone will get back to you.

To register for a class, full payment must accompany this form. No places can be reserved without preregistration and prepayment. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and enrollment is limited. If a class is filled when you register, your registration form and check will be returned to you. Walk in registration is permitted, if there is space, for an additional $10.00 fee. Once enrolled you will receive a confirmation letter with information and directions.

Cancellation Policy: CCS reserves the right to cancel classes because of insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled, registrants will be notified within four days of the class date and receive a full refund. Please provide both a day and evening phone number so you can be contacted if there are changes. You may cancel a class up to 3 days before the class date for a full refund. Refunds cannot be made for cancellations after 3 days prior to a class or for no-shows.

Tuition: The cost for a hands-on class is $35 for members and $75 for non-members. Non-members may join CCS at the time of registration and receive the member rate for classes. Membership fees are shown below and are not refundable.
