Mini-Expo VI. MX-VI is now history,
and attendees and participating vendors and looking forward to
MX-VII.
MX-VI, our sixth annual program, was
probably our best one. Borrowing a phrase provided by the APCUG
Region Advisor, “it ran like a fine tuned clock”, it started
promptly at 9:00am and the last grand prize was drawn and
presented at 5:00pm. But, the intervening activities are what
excited most attendees. Presentations by Joe Nowak on Google,
Smart Computing on their support programs, Epson’s on their
printer technology, Microsoft on their future table top computer
and a glimpse of Halo 3, and last but not the least, Corel on
their movie editing programs, captivated all attendees.
All attendees received a commemorative
T-shirt, and a copy of WordGenius Webster’s Unabridged, or
Collegiate Dictionary.
Of course the excitement of the day was
Dave Batterson winning the Toshiba laptop computer, and Bridget
Archer winning the Epson 1400 printer, our two grand prizes.
A sincere thanks to those who helped make
this the best MX yet:
